What to Expect
A hot air balloon ride is more than just the flight—it's an unforgettable morning from start to finish.
Selected riders will arrive at the launch site at 6:30 AM on their scheduled flight day to meet their pilot and crew. You'll have the opportunity to watch the balloon inflate before taking to the skies for approximately one hour. The complete experience, including launch, flight, landing, and return transportation, typically lasts 2–3 hours.
Friends and family are welcome to come cheer you on, take photos, and even help the balloon crew during setup and retrieval if they'd like to be part of the experience.
Flight Details
- Festival Dates: September 5-7, 2026
- Flight Days: Friday (9/4) and Saturday (9/5)
- Arrival Time: 6:30 AM
- Experience Length: Approximately 2–3 hours
- Flight Time: Approximately 1 hour (weather and landing conditions permitting)
Eligibility & Important Information
For the safety and enjoyment of everyone on board, please review the following:
- Riders should be 12 years of age or older.
- Riders should be in good physical health.
- Individuals who are pregnant should not participate.
- All flights are weather permitting and safety is always the top priority.
- If weather conditions prevent a scheduled flight, every effort will be made to reschedule for another festival day.
- Flight assignments are coordinated by the Windsor Harvest Festival balloon team based on availability and weather conditions.
